💕 Inspiration comes in many forms. Today I find inspiration in Mother’s Day. Singular, possessive tense, apostrophe “s”. Mine.
I need to go to the card aisle. I’m conflicted. I’ve stood in front of the cards before. Blank stare. There are cards with all kinds of sweet sentiments, “loving” … “pillar of support” … expensive cards with velvet and pretty doilies. I think back on a moment at age 7, then 10, 11, 13, 16, 19, 25 … 45. I go to the dollar card section. I’m obligated. Or am I?
This Mother’s Day is about reframing. It’s Mothers’ Day for everyone. For all the awesome moms out there. Including me.
Go hug your kids like you mean it and tell them you love them.
